DrupalCon San Francisco is on its Way!

Spring can play hide-and-seek all it wants, this is still our favorite time of the year. Why? Because it's almost time for DrupalCon!

We're sponsoring our third US DrupalCon this year, and we could not be more excited as we look ahead to catching up with old friends and exploring the latest advancements, achievements, and best practices coming out of the Drupal community.

This year marks some exciting new developments for us, and we're psyched to introduce them at this year's DrupalCon.

Welcome to Time Out

Our first big intro is to welcome our newest partner/client Time Out to the Drupal family. We've been working with Time Out for the past year on a massive relaunch effort, and Project Lead Anna Murray is slated to join us in presenting a case study on their experience on this project--pending your votes, of course!

Check out our new look!

The other major item for us this year is the unveiling of our new company branding. (You can get a sneak peek at the new logo on the DrupalCon Sponsors page.) Our Creative Director Dave Pappas has put together a fresh, energetic brand concept that I think does a phenomenal job of conveying the Treehouse personality. To introduce the new brand, we'll be giving away loads of Treehouse swag. Be sure to swing by our table and get yours!!

And now for the good stuff...our sessions!

If you're following the DrupalCon preparations, you know that voting on sessions is now open. We've got four presentations in the running, some of them joint efforts with our Drupal friends and partners...check them out and vote up your favorites:

  • Continuous Integration and Automated Testing with Hudson with Steven Merrill and Josh Koenig (Chapter Three). Explore the theory and practice of using the open-source Hudson continuous integration server. Walk through the process of installing Hudson and example post-build steps.
  • Harnessing Drupal for Your Next Web Project with Michael Caccavano, Drew Gorton (Gorton Studios), Bill Fitzgerald (FunnyMonkey), and Eric Gundersen (Development Seed). A team of agency veterans talks you through the process of initiating a Drupal project including project evaluation, team preparation, and budget and timeline management and expectations.
  • Virtual Teams and the Enterprise. Virtually Impossible? with Michael Caccavano and Nicole Lind. Treehouse managers discuss the benefits and risks of going virtual, approaches to managing these risks, and how to address the very legitimate concerns of enterprise-level clients.
  • Drupal and Media - The Ifs, Ands & Buts (A Case Study from Time Out NY) with Anna Murray (Time Out) and Michael Caccavano . We are joined by Time Out project lead Anna Murray to discuss the challenges faced by media publishers in the current internet environment, from user expectations, to back-end technical complexities, to internal change management. The migration of Time Out to the Drupal platform serves as a case study to examine how these challenges can manifest and be overcome.

That's all for now...see you there! (Not registered yet? As of this writing, they are still taking registrations, starting at $195.)
